I went here the other night and had the elk burger in a lettuce wrap with caramelized onions, slaw, an heirloom tomato, gruyere, mustard, and mayo. It was incredible. Next time I am going to add avocado and an egg. I cannot wait to try it out - I thought it would be too crazy in a lettuce wrap, but it all fit together and it was absolutely delicious. I am already a new, local, loyal customer! Keep up the great work guys, love it.
The only thing I would recommend is to use animal fat or ghee to as a frying oil instead of sunflower oil. -

This area NEEDS a decent lunch spot and Roam delivered that for us!
I tried the mixed garden salad with Hella toppings and they weren't weird when I asked for items to be omitted. I probably should have gone for a different dressing as the cilantro-lime was a lil too saucy and not salty enough for my taste.
We share the tri-trifecta of Zucchini Haystack, Sweet Potato Fries with house sauce and the regular fries, which were the only disappointment of the 3. Something was really bland about the fries to the point none of us ate them so.. cmon Roam, get that fry-standards up and we'll be back!
Good spot, even better if you can get your own table and not have to sit at the communal one with a buncha strangers. :) -

still a four (cuz a burger, fries and a drink is still over $20 in here and the seating is weird), but y'all should know- they now carry gluten-free beer! hurray!
still, I implore u to taste the burgers here, man. so good. -

3 is about right for Roam, came in around 8 pm and it was busy with a lot of tables not being cleared. We had to start bussing other people's trash for seats. The condiment section was a mess and the water area had no cups.
The sunny side burger with turkey was good and the fry-fecta is enough to share in a small group. But prices are way overpriced. Good spot for after drinking munchies at least but other than that probably not. -

Let me preface this review by saying: I'm not a huge fan of burgers I never go out of my way for one and this place didn't change that for me.
My mom & I we're walking through uptown & couldn't decide what to eat when we walked past this artisan burger joint.
It's clean inside & the decor is what you'd normally see. Edison lights, long community table, bar stools. Typical of the new counter service restaurants in Oakland right now.
Your order your food at the counter & it's dropped at your table. Love this service. It's quick & there's less room for mistakes since I order myself.
They have a wide variety of flavors & I like that you can choose the type of protein. There's a beef, bison, turkey, & veggie patties.
I had the pacific blue, veggie burger, with blue cheese "spread", greens, tomatoes, grilled onions, & steak sauce.
The burger was tasty. But I think the ingredients could've been distribute better. The blue cheese spread we're actually chucks of blue cheese piled on one side, the tomato was the end so it was yellow & on another side. I had to reassemble it when it got to me which was MESSY.
The burger was good but really sweet. If I tried it again I'd get the steak sauce on the side.
They also have regular fries & sweet potato fries. We got both & I have no complaints.
They have one of the best colas I've ever tasted so I'd go back just for that.
Overall, the food was better than average & the service was quick. A bit expensive but if you like burgers it's worth it.
